| Which Windows operating system do you recommend
as optimum version? | |
| INTEQ® currently recommends Windows 2000 Professional
as the optimum Windows operating system. At the moment, it is the most sophisticated and robust Windows. It requires considerably fewer resources than Windows XP Professional. In the meantime, Windows XP Professional has also become technically matured. By a "slim" installation and administration, you can make it a fast system, which is a requirement for a productive workstation environment. You can find lots of advice in the professional computer literature. | |
| Why don't you support Windows 95, 98, ME and XP
Home? | |
| It's true IQ EasyMeasure® is absolutely easy but it is completely aligned to the use in professional environments. The above mentioned Windows operating systems are not convenient in those environments. | |
| Why can't I use the FW1-adaptor
in Windows NT4? | |
| NT4 does not support the necessary IEEE-1394a (FireWire™) interface. Regarding the professional Windows systems, this interface is supported from the version Windows 2000 Professional on. | |
| Why aren't there any IQ EasyMeasure® versions for Linux
or Mac? | |
| The share of Windows systems within the customer target groups of IQ EasyMeasure® is approximately 97%. Versions for other operating systems do not pay off. |
